GMDSS certificates issued by any country are internationally recognized as they comply with the international standards established by the CEPT, which strictly defines the exam syllabus.
The international British GMDSS-SRC certificates issued by the RYA-MCA (Maritime Coast Guard Agency) are the most representative worldwide.
The exam syllabus is exactly as prescribed by the CEPT—the international body responsible for drafting the exam syllabus. It is internationally recognized and therefore recognized in Italy.
VHF radio is essential for navigational safety, so it is important to know the correct procedures.
The GMDSS-SRC certificate is the minimum mandatory qualification required by international standards to operate maritime radio communication equipment such as VHF-DSC, EPIRB, and active AIS.
Our course is preferably held in a classroom setting, as it is not solely aimed at obtaining the SRC certificate.
The fundamental concepts required for maritime radio communication procedures and the structures of the GMDSS and SAR (Search and Rescue) systems are illustrated.
The bureaucratic aspects related to various administrative procedures are explored in depth, such as the procedures for requesting a license to operate radio equipment, the channels associated with the various antennas of coastal stations, and more. These notions have become mandatory for using new VHF equipment, both with and without DSC technology.
Upon booking, you will receive the textbook or, if you prefer, an e-book (which saves time and shipping costs).
